Collection Development: Selection
You are encouraged to make direct requests for specific materials that support your subject area or vocational emphasis, your curriculum and the instructional program. Although the librarians select many titles and ensure that reference books are kept up-to-date, collection development is a shared activity with you. Together, our goal should be to maintain a sufficient collection of curriculum support materials (sufficient in quality, depth, diversity and currency) that enhance your classroom instruction. Students expect the library to own basic resources in their fields of study. We welcome your requests as your are the content experts.
