The Library's Staff and Contact Information page is your link to Library Staff and the services they provide. You may email your reference question or call for reference assistance, (541) 917-4645. If you choose to call for research assistance, the librarian will need to know some basic information. Be prepared to provide:

• Your name and phone number
• The course name and number (Example: WR 123)
• Your instructor's name
• Your topic, be as specific as possible
• The amount of information that you need (Are you writing a brief 1-2 page paper or a 10 page research paper?)
• What kind of materials are you looking for? (books, scholarly journals, popular magazines, newspaper articles, etc.)
• When is your paper or project due?
• What information sources have you already consulted?

Plan ahead! Remember that accessing library resources from a distance takes time and patience. Get started early on your research so that you allow the time to request and receive materials, clarify search strategies, and consult a librarian for research assistance.
