We are very willing to work with you in deselecting or "weeding" the collection of out-dated materials. The process of removing items is an important part of dynamic collection development and ensures that the library remains viable. It is a way to maintain the quality of the collection by eliminating out-of-date, maybe even inaccurate, materials.
Library staff may note items that are in need of being withdrawn and consult with you before final deselection. What is invaluable to us is your knowledge about books and other resources in your discipline that need to be updated or replaced with new titles or editions.
